By design, Tin Lizzie SE machines have firmware that cannot be upgraded. When you upgrade to an android tablet, the system prompts you to update your machine version. You do not need to. If you happened to click “yes” at the prompt, you will get a “bootloader” error. This prompt will pop up every time you start up your machine.

To stop the machine upgrade prompt from popping up, you need to change your machine type in the Perfect Stitch app. To do this you

1. Exit Perfect Stitch.

2. Go to the android settings app and select the “Apps” icon.

3. Select the Perfect Stitch icon.

4. Select “Clear Data.”

5. Exit the android settings app and re-open Perfect Stitch

6. Enter the serial number (or "na" if you do not have a serial number) for your tablet

7. Select the Tin Lizzie 18 machine type from the list.

That's it! With that machine type selected you will no longer be prompted to update your machine version. Now you should be able to start quilting without that pesky prompt!
