I get an error message when I try to set the quilt area or a pattern box.

The quilt area may be smaller than the pattern box that is set inside of it

Ensure that your quilt area is larger than any of your pattern boxes.

The belt (usually the black belt) is on backwards.

The belt is loaded onto the pulley backwards. This causes reverse counts in the machine, which makes it read incorrectly.

If the Y axis is at 0 (zero)

Ensure that the Y belt is on correctly. If the Motor box is mounted to the front of the carriage, the order, from left to right, should be

bracket, continuous belt, carriage.

Reverse this order if the Motor Box is mounted on the back of the carriage.

If the X axis is at 0 (zero)

Ensure that the X belt is on correctly. If the Motor box is mounted to the front of the carriage, the order, from left to right, should be bracket, continuous belt, carriage. Reverse this order if the Motor Box is mounted on the back of the carriage. Also, you may have “Motor Reversed” engaged, under Home > Setup > Updates > Motor Reversed (Note that this button reads as the the stat that you will switch to, not the one it currently is.)
