Any crossed lines used when creating a pattern box will result in an error.
Do not cross pattern box lines
When creating a pattern box, the lines may NOT cross.
When placing the last point of a pattern box, be sure to press the check mark and not the plus sign. Pressing the checkmark will add the final point as well as finish creating the pattern box.
