This error occurs when trying to create a pattern box without adding any points.
Create pattern box points
Create a pattern box by placing at least two pattern box points. Points are selected by moving your needle to the first point of a pattern box and pressing the plus button. The first two points make up the baseline. To place your last pattern box point, press the check mark button.
