Why do I get “ERROR 5” when I try to update my Black Motor Box? Print

The Black Motor Box will not update.

Green light lit inside motor box

The green light indicates that the motor box is working properly.

Don’t run updates through pop up window

Navigate to Home > Setup > Update Robot to update the robot. don’t use the update button that pops up on the display.

Disable rear Handle bar port

Noise can sometimes enter through this port. Go to the quilting machine interface, then folder > advanced and check the box to disable the rear handlebar port.

Update direct

Run a cable directly from the display to the motor box remote port. (Note this cable isn’t the same thar runs from the display to the quilting machine, and you may not have access to one.)

Factory update

Return the Motor box to the factory to be updated.
